At Barony Country Foods we receive refrigerated deliveries of fresh fish and shellfish almost every day of the week.
Native fish such as haddock, cod, whiting and halibut are mainly procured through the ports of Aberdeen and Fraserburgh on Scotland’s Northeast coast.
More exotic species of fish such as seabass, seabream, red mullet and yellowfin tuna are imported from markets as far away as Greece, Brazil and even the Solomon Islands.
Almost all our shellfish is harvested from sheltered sea lochs on the West coast of Scotland. There the plankton rich, unpolluted waters, warmed by the Gulf Stream combine to make the ideal growing conditions for our much sought after “fruits de mer”
All fish can be gutted, scaled, filleted, skinned etc. to customer’s requirements free of charge.
