A traditional Scottish favourite, Arbroath Smokies are made with fresh Scottish haddock, hot smoked using a unique method which has been around since the late 19th century. They are cleaned and the head removed, but left on the bone. Arbroath Smokies are sold in packs of two and can be eaten cold, however here at the Barony Smokehouse we prefer to eat them warm. Chef’s Tip: Instead of a typical Cullen Skink using smoked haddock try making it with Arbroath Smokies for a rich, traditional flavour.
