Our award winning Scottish smoked salmon is gently rubbed in sea salt to cure.  Then Iightly smoked with well seasoned, aromatic oak chips. Our Smoked Salmon was awarded two stars by the Guild of Fine Foods at the Great Taste Awards. The 250g pack contains approximately eight slices, vacuum packed for freshness and can be stored chilled or frozen. Chef’s Tip: Our delicious hand sliced portions are perfect as an appetiser; seasoned with cracked black pepper and lemon, served on a slice of thick brown bread with rich cream cheese.

Description

Our salmon are sourced from the Shetland Isles. There the deep sea lochs and strong tidal currents keep the fish fit and healthy.  They are filleted and  prepared in the traditional manner. Our salmon is then salted and a day or so later, slowly smoked over oak chips. The smoked fillets are then skilfully sliced and vacuum packed.

The Barony Smokehouse smoked salmon is low in fat and free from all additives and chemicals. It makes the perfect gift for all those special occasions.

Preparation Guidelines: This smoked salmon is ready to eat. To enjoy this product at its best, remove from fridge and separate slices 10 minutes before serving. The full flavour is best appreciated when the slices are served at room temperature.

These 250g packs are ideal for a starter or light lunch for 4 people.
